The Sweet Sixties Project

On display is a project created by Modartech alumna Sara Giannini

To celebrate the legendary and vibrant ’60s Stefano Dominella and Guillermo Mariotto, president and creative director of the maison Gattinoni, presented a exhibition with some of the most iconic garments designed by great names of creativity such as Ken Scott, Courrèges, Paco Rabanne, Pierre Cardin or Max Mara.

Alongside them also the outfit created by Sara Giannini, talent of the course degree in Fashion Design from Istituto Modartech. Starting from second hand fabrics and accessories combined with warehouse waste, Sara has created a splendid “armor dress”, painted with a material that when exposed to light creates an optical illusion effect, all enriched with aluminum chains and sequins. She completes the dress with a top with a particular bateau neckline, strongly Sixties

The project was presented in the exhibition “The Sweet Sixties. Narrations of fashion, inaugurated on March 27, 2023 at the National Museum of Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome.
