An exchange of techniques, research and knowledge at the center of the collaboration between the students of the degree course in Fashion Design with United Tanneries, a network of Tuscan tanneries that produce high-end leather goods for important Italian brands.
An educational project, focused on skin, involved fifteen Modartech students who developed creative proposals inspired by the concept of Human Environment, a futuristic and anthropized environment. Five finalists whose projects, in line with Lineapelle’s trends for Spring/Summer 2023, explored sensorial aspects such as fluid metals, iridescent colours, thermoactive materials and micro-perforations of the leather.
The one by Roberto Beqaj stands out, awarded by Francesca Marozzi, Leather Technician of Dolce & Gabbana. The project integrated LED lighting, innovative materials and bright leathers, offering the designer the opportunity to have first-hand experience in the company’s Research and Development department.
The projects were exhibited in the Martini Pio stand on the occasion of Lineapelle 2022, the most important international fair dedicated to leather and accessories intended for fashion & luxury industry customers.
