Modartech at Lineapelle fair

Focus on the accessories by our Fashion Design graduate, Alessandra Tognarelli.

Alessandra Tognarelli, student in the Fashion Design degree program, has been selected to showcase one of her collection accessories at Lineapelle FAIR, the most important international trade fair dedicated to leather, accessories, components, fabrics, synthetics, and models. The expo area, curated by Piattaforma Sistema Formazione Moda, is part of the Fair and will be open from September 17 to 19 at Milan RHO Fiere, coinciding with Milan Fashion Week.

The selected accessory is part of the collection “The Sign” which pays homage to origins and serves as a tribute to the work and rights of women in the straw industry. The showcased footwear, a derby-style shoe open at the back, has been entirely handcrafted using upcycled materials. The upper is mainly composed of a woven raffia and cotton fabric in natural tones, while rust-colored kid leather is used for the eyelet section. The straps, also handwoven with raffia thread and kid leather, complete the design. The shoe features a nappa insole and a genuine leather sole, ensuring both aesthetics and comfort.

This selection marks a significant recognition of Alessandra’s talent and creativity, further affirming the excellence of Modartech’s educational program.
