Modartech Institute wins the 34th edition of the National Fashion Design Contest for Young Designers by CNA Federmoda. During the closing night, a haul of awards was presented as the outfits of the 24 finalists from fashion schools all over Italy were showcased at the Salone delle Colonne in Rome.
The jury of companies and industry professionals was impressed by Mira Ascoli, the overall winner of the contest and winner of the “clothing and knitwear” section, and Emma Orsucci, who took first place in the “footwear and accessories” category. The two students from the Fashion Design degree program stood out for their great craftsmanship and ability to combine tradition and innovation in their creations.
Mira presented the collection “Doll à porter“, inspired by the perfection of fashion dolls, but deliberately exaggerating some details such as sleeves, buttons and oversized designs to create disproportions that propose a new vision of beauty, far from classic stereotypes. Emma’s project “Nessuna traccia” revisited mountain wear with a contemporary approach, integrating new technologies in the field of fabrics and adding elements typical of the alpine world such as ropes, carabiners and hooks.
