The garments designed by young designers for Rifò, Bob and Giacomo Bacci inside and outside the Fortezza
From the Fashion Design classrooms to the temple of men’s fashion: the students of Istituto Modartech, an advanced training school with active collaborations in the main Made in Italy districts, present the garments created in collaboration with some important local brands on the occasion of the next edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, number 104, which will take place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 13 to 16 June, with numerous related events in the city.
For Bob Company, the students of Istituto Modartech worked on an upcycling project, which saw the recovery of ‘defective’ clothes, impossible to put on the market. Garments with small holes, dye spots, etc. were reworked by the boys and fully recovered, giving them a new life.
Removing or covering up existing imperfections, each used their own individual technique: some worked in irons, others hand painted or used natural dyes. The result is highly characterized garments with a marked imagination, thus creating a close link with Bob’s artistic and dreamy identity. A selection of these garments will be presented at the fair.
Following an environmentally sensitive approach, some students have designed a capsule collection designed for Rifò: the project by Giada Rinaldi, “Elements of Nature”, won over the company, a collection for children and adults that comes with a kit to customize your garment in total safety and respect for the environment. At the base of regenerated cashmere and denim garments.
Giacomo Bacci, the Florentine haute couture brand, has launched the challenge to Fashion Design students to test themselves with the high-quality “tailor made” craftsmanship. The results of the educational project will be on display in the Bacci atelier-laboratory. An international showcase for the young creatives of tomorrow.
