Why study in Tuscany

Istituto Modartech is located in the heart of the Creative Disciplines Education Hub, within the historic industrial Piaggio spaces—birthplace of the iconic Vespa.
It’s a dynamic and innovative environment where culture, research, and creativity converge through collaborations with key institutions like the Piaggio Foundation, the Giovanni Gronchi Library and the BioRobotics Institute of the Sant’Anna School.

Situated between Florence and Pisa, Pontedera is a hub of innovation, culture, and design, set within a highly specialized industrial context.
The city is increasingly recognized as a center for advanced research in industry 4.0, attracting companies, designers, and students from around the world—an ideal location for those seeking an inspiring environment closely connected to the evolving industry.

Visa and permit of stay

Istituto Modartech has a dedicated International Admissions Office that assists students throughout the entire process of obtaining their visa and residence permit. The office provides support at every stage, ensuring a smooth transition for international students. Upon arrival, students will also receive assistance with practical matters such as health insurance, opening a bank account, and more.

Services for International Students

Istituto Modartech offers strong support for out-of-town students, with services to make living and studying away from home easier.

We assist in finding the most suitable accommodation – from shared apartments in Pontedera and nearby towns, to student housing in Pisa (15 minutes by train), or even in Florence (about 40 minutes away). To ease the transition, we connect incoming students before the start of classes to help form groups for shared housing.

We also offer personalized tuition discounts and access to dedicated study spaces including labs, classrooms, the Modartech archive and the Giovanni Gronchi Library.
