Modartech for Mariotto

A special upcycling project in the name of sustainability

The students of the Fashion Design degree course created an innovative project guided by the stylist Guillermo Mariotto. They reinvented precious garments from the historical archive of Stefano Dominella, president of the Maison Gattinoni and Scientific Director of Modartech, exploring upcycling techniques and bringing collections that have made history back to life of the Roman maison.

Through technique, manipulation and deconstruction revolutionary clothes were born in full contemporary style, enriched by meticulous workmanship and fine fabrics. Reinventing, recycling and reusing: the students, through their creativity, thus told a story of sustainability.

The projects were presented in the Creative Exhibition “Sustainable Fashion – Virtual & Craftsmanshipas part of the Ecodays 2024, an initiative organized by Ecofor Service.
