On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of Comistra, excellence of the Prato district in the production of eco-sustainable recycled fabrics and regenerated wool, the students of the degree course in Fashion Design of Istituto Modartech have created an innovative and sustainable project.
Using the fabrics regenerated by the company, they created 16 outfits to evoke the different phases of production in the company, including the selection of raw materials – rags, separation by color, fineness and composition, cleaning, the transformation of rags into new high quality fibrous material, the study of color and weaving.
Not only a tribute to Comistra, but also a concrete commitment towards sustainable fashion, promoting distinctive and innovative messages in a historical context in which sustainability is fundamental.
